Estelle knew her own mind; when she was in control, she was content, and never in pain. While the mind was willing, the body was weak, but she was still competitive: of the 135 residents at Redeemer only five were older. Estelle was preceded in death by husband LeRoy and daughter Nancy, and is survived by son, Stephen (Linnea); grandsons, Christopher of Washington DC, and Bryn (Jenny) of Carbondale, CO; great-grandsons, Bryn, Soren and Max; sister, Virginia Whitehouse of Spokane, WA; brother Warren (Gloria), Minneapolis; sisters-in-law, Daphine Ofsthun of Minneapolis, and Myrtle Hume of Oregon City, OR; and many nieces and nephews, and each has a story to tell. Many thanks to the aides and caregivers at Redeemer Care and Rehabilitation in Minneapolis. Private service to be held at a later date.
