

Eunice grew up on Irvine Avenue, just below Summit Avenue in St. Paul. Her family enjoyed summer vacations along the Lake Superior North Shore and Isle Royale. She loved outdoor sports, including ice skating, skiing and boating.
Eunice graduated from Marshall High School, St. Paul, in 1944.
Eunice’s parents were both Swedish immigrants from the community of Holsljunga. Her Swedish heritage was always a part of her life and a source of identity and pride. Eunice, her sister, Dorothy, and daughter, Diane, traveled to Sweden in 1989 and visited birthplaces, cousins and the family church of Olga and Andrew.
Eunice was a gifted vocalist and classically trained. She performed as Rose in the operetta “Rose of the Danube” in high school, sang in the University of Minnesota Women’s Chorus and in the choir at Advent Lutheran Church. Most recently, she was the soloist in the Chandler Place Assisted Living resident choir.
Eunice worked at Rayette in St. Paul for a number of years after high school and traveled throughout the United States National Parks with a group of her young friends during vacation time.
Eunice married Ray Wollum in St. Paul in 1952. The couple lived in Billings, MT, Bismarck, ND, Moorhead and Winona, MN before permanently locating to Roseville, MN in 1962.
Eunice was a full-time homemaker for many years. She was also employed in the dietary department at the Presbyterian Home in Roseville, where she could spend time with her mother, a resident, during her breaks.
Eunice is preceded in death by husband, Ray, in 2018, and sister, Dorothy Mills, in 2021. She is survived by daughters Diane Buckli (Corky), Carol Tonkin, and son Alan (Tiffani), grandchildren Tim McGuire, Lisa McGuire, Carly Peet (Dave), Erica Clarys (Chris) and great-grandchildren Caden, Jackson and Emma Clarys and Henry Peet.
Eunice’s children and family will always remember her as someone who always gave unconditional love and support. She will forever be in our hearts and dearly missed.
