Jachymowski (nee Knapik), Florence M., Age 97, Apr. 16, 1923, Aug. 27, 2020, passed away peacefully at Benedictine Nursing Home. She was surrounded by loving Family and Staff who showed such compassion in helping Florence through her fight against COVID19 and the last days of her life. Unfortunately, the damage done to her health by the virus, kept Florence from reaching her goal of 100 years old.
She was born in Chicago, Illinois, and at age nineteen, she fell in love with Eddie her Sailor (married for sixty-nine years) and moved to Minnesota where she spent the rest of her life raising a family of four sons and one daughter. She worked in the garment industry as a seamstress and was a lifetime gardener as well as the best wife and mother to her husband and children. Florence’s warm and open nature to those around her will be missed greatly.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward A. Jachymowski, her parents, Louis and Rose Knapik, Sisters; Lenore (Bill Walendziewicz), Wendy (Carl Carlson), Charlotte Knapik, Brother, Richard (Sandra Brown Knapik), and son-in-law, Thomas H. Perry.
Florence will be deeply missed by all her children; James (Diane), Gaye Perry, Steven (Debi Starr), John (Sandy) and Paul (Stacie Hart); Grandchildren, Tim (Dawn), Jill Hendrickson (Erik), Amanda Koester (Joe), Jenny Perry-Carr (Will), Andy, Adam (Brenna), Angela Kelly (Tony), and Holly; Great-grandchildren, Joey (Jacqueline), Kevin, Kelly Quach (Aaron), Dorothy, Brayden, Grace, Skylar, Nicholas and Alex; Great-great grandchildren, Bentley and Brynn.
