Long time state employee, served in Naval Air Reserve, member of Alpha Kappa Psi fraternity, and belonged to St. Paul Radio Control Club. He enjoyed his family, music and travel.
Gerald is survived by wife, Janet, of 67 years; daughter, Karen (Greg) Lager; son, Brian Vacha (Christine); grandchildren, Cassandra (Joseph), Brittany (Skyler), Lauren (Alex), Jocelyn; great grandson, Theodore.
