Gloria Ellen Wilson

Gloria first met Antonio Garcia, and together they welcomed their daughter, Deborah Louise. She later married Leon Wilson, and together they had two sons, Dwayne and Dale.

Gloria dedicated 45 years of service to Honeywell, where she held numerous positions before retiring as a shift supervisor. She also served as a shift supervisor at OfficeMax in the Midway community. A proud and active member of her community, Gloria was involved in several organizations and was a lifetime member of the Hallie Q. Brown Community Center.

Above all, Gloria cherished time spent with her family and especially enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and activities.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Wilson; sons, Dwayne Gilbreath and Dale Gilbreath; and great-grandson, Jordan Montgomery.

Gloria is lovingly survived by her daughter, Deborah Montgomery; grandchildren, Matthew (Faith), Robert Jr. (Donna), DawnMarie, and Mark (Cathrine); great-grandchildren, Bryce (Matthew), Bryce (Robert Jr.), Blake, Lourdes Sydney, Lauren, Ryann, Ryleigh, Kayla, and Shyia; and great-great-grandson, Jonah.

A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery.
