Halina was a loving and caring daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend - who always gave generous hugs and had a warm smile. She was an avid reader, and never went a day without reading a book. For many years she volunteered at a Polish-American Cultural Institute of Minnesota (PACIM) library in Minneapolis and enjoyed helping others find their next adventure with a good book.
Halina loved to garden and take care of her extensive array of plants and flowers; her home and balcony was always filled with beautiful greenery and colorful flowers. She was an outdoorsy person, who loved taking her children hiking in Poland’s Beskidy mountains and enjoyed & appreciated all that nature has to offer. Halina was fortunate enough to find her “true calling” as a nursing assistant, helping others in their time of need; providing care and warmth to the sick and elderly.
Halina was a devout Catholic who prayed multiple times daily and her steadfast faith helped her with her pain and suffering. For anyone who has met Halina and loved her, she will be tearfully missed by all that were fortunate to have been a part of her life journey. She will forever remain in our hearts and live on in our wonderful memories.
