Dear Paula, and Scott and Amanda,
You have been in my thoughts during your time in Minnesota this past month. I'm glad Paula, that you had this time with your father before God took him on to his new home. My prayers will be with your Mother.
God Bless you all,
Del Rieschick

My condolences to Howard's family, friends, and the Balsam Lake community. Howard was a wonderful person and dedicated volunteer who I am so fortunate to have come to know through lake management activities and events. He leaves behind a positive land and lake ethic for others to emulate. I'll miss seeing him and his warm smile around. Rest in peace Howard.

I met and worked with Howard at Sperry-Univac/Unisys, paid him a few visits at the family cabin on Balsam Lake and in the past years stayed a bit connected with him through one of my best friends and Howard's mutual acquaintance, Rod Preble. Rod and Howard spent many hours working together on the BLPRD. I always had a great respect for Howard as a professional, family man and friend. We had many great conversations and laughs together over many years.
My sincere condolences,
Mike Brown

Howard had a smile that could light up the room! He was such a kind, happy guy. I will miss seeing you all at the clinic. I am thinking of you all during this difficult time.

RIP, Howard (from "the blonde scheduler" at the clinic)
