Age 84 of Roseville
Passed away August 22, 2018. Attn. P.E.R.A., City of St Paul Department of Public Works, and the Dale Street Garage employees and retirees.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, George and Grace Alfonse Sr.; and Two Brothers, George Jr. and Richard “Dick” Alfonse.
He is survived by Wife of 57 years, Josephine “Jo” Alfonse; his Sister Theresa Marcus and Niece Laurie Ann.
James was always a shy and humble man who was sweet and generous always giving of himself to others without asking of anything in return. He was a hard worker working various jobs throughout his lifetime. He never let the obstacles of life slow him down and his gallant and courageous fight with Parkinson’s was a true testimony of who he was. He will be deeply missed as a loving husband, brother and friend to all. Special Thanks to the U of M Medical Staff on Unit 7B for their outstanding care to Jim, and to the Fairview Home Care services for their care. To Billy, “Thanks for the memories.” Jim.
