James “Jim” Cook
Jim was born in Independence, Iowa in 1949 to Robert and Bernadette Cook. Jim had two siblings, Judy and Joanne. Jim was previously married to Julie who had preceded him in death in 1990. Jim never stopped loving his dear Julie. Jim’s parents preceded him in death as well as his sister, Judy. Jim has one surviving sibling, Joanne of Texas.
Jim loved God and this country to the extent that he would stand at attention and place his hand over his heart even at home at the start of sporting events, singing the National Anthem. Jim was always kind, engaging and truly loved his family and close friends. There wasn’t a day that passed that Jim wouldn’t call someone in his family to check up on them.
Jim passed away on December 10, 2020 unexpectedly in St. Paul, MN. Virtual funeral services will be held on Friday, December 18, 2020 at 12:30 Central Time. Services will be officiated by Pastor Dan Ankerfelt and Pastor Sally Ankerfelt.
