Passed away February 12, 2010. WWII Veteran and member of Church of St. Hedwig, Mpls. Preceded in death by wife, Helen; parents; 2 sisters and 3 brothers. Survived by children, John Jr.(Linda) Kowalsky, Ray Kowalsky, Ruth Hayek; grandchildren, Carie (Shandor) Szalay, Laurie (Mike) VanSant, Michael and Kelly Kowalsky; Beth and Jason Hayek; great-grandchildren, Derek, Logan, Ava, Libby, Leila; and sister, Eleanor (Alex) Gadacz. Visitation MONDAY, Feb 15th from 4-8 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Kapala- Glodek Funeral Home, 230 - 13th Ave. NE, Mpls., MN 55413. Mass of Christian Burial TUESDAY, Feb 16th at 11:00 am with visitation from 10-11 am at Church of St. Hedwig, 129 - 29th Ave. NE, Mpls., MN 55418. Interment Sunset Cemetery.
