He was born in Edina Minnesota to Sigward and May Strand. Graduated from Edina High School and was a roofer for various companies for over 40+ years. Joe enjoyed hunting, fishing, feeding stray animals and loved spending time with family and grandchildren.
Joe is survived by children, Randy (Donna) Strand and Rick Roose; grandchildren, Christina, Kaitlyn, Sage, Toni, Eddie and Warren; sister, Kirsten Strand; brother, George Strand.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen.
Private burial will be held at Sunset Cemetery, Minneapolis.
