The most loving, caring, daughter, sister and friend has left us too soon. Her struggle with mental health and the loss of her dad was just too much. She fought until she couldn't anymore. Our hearts are broken but know she is finally at peace.
Unfortunately, we do not have all the answers on her passing. Bobbi, Mark and Joann ask for your prayers and patience in the upcoming days/weeks until we know everything.
Karen adored her 3 nieces, Mallory, Megan and Addison as they did her. every holiday was spent with family. She would dress up on Halloween, bring them easter baskets and stay over every Christmas eve to be there in the morning to watch them open all of their presents. Our many years spent up north at Maddens to celebrate her dads and Mallory's birthday in July was always they best.
She was preceded by her father, Gerald "Jerry" Sognesand, passed in, 5/21/2025
Karen is survived by her mother, Roberta "Bobbi" Sognesand; brother, Mark Sognesand, sister, Joann (Russ) Hull and nieces, Mallory, Megan and Addison.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at Sunset Kapala Glodek Funeral Home, Minneapolis with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm.
Burial will be held at Sunset Cemetery, Minneapolis following the service at 3:00 pm.
