LaVerne Eleanor Kelley

Our beloved family matriarch has died and is no doubt already back to baking cookies and tending her garden.

Reunited in Heaven with her husband, Joseph Richard and son, Gary Lee; siblings Tom, Lee, Audrey, Gene, and Carol.

Survived by loving son, Tom Kelley of Eagan, MN; granddaughters, Kristin (Christopher Brost) Kelley, Kara (Steve) Meyers, Katie Klover; great-grandchildren, Emelia, Kael, Savannah, and Monroe; other family and friends.

Bowler, baker, cook, gardener, seamstress, and cheerleader (she never missed a single one of her granddaughters' softball games). Proud Red Owl retiree and member of United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 653. Everything LaVerne did was for her family and she will be forever remembered for her generosity, quick-wit, and endearing stubbornness. Heartfelt thanks to the staff of New Perspective of Eagan, MN.

Memorials preferred to the Animal Humane Society in memory of her cherished grandpups Dolli, Suzi and Gigi.

Private family graveside service will be held at Lakewood Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband. Due to COVID-19 restrictions her family will host a celebration of life gathering at a later date. Heaven's grass just got a whole lot greener.
