He graduated from the U of M with a degree in Civil Engineering and was with the MN Pollution Control Agency for over 4 decades. Working in air quality, water quality and later wetland preservation. During his time in the Navy, Larry served on the John F. Kennedy.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Zdon of 54 years; his daughter, Heather Wisell (Chris) and his son, Chris Zdon (Jen);brother, Mike (Sue); sister, Carol; sister-in-law, Susan, and his 4 granddaughters: (Isabelle, Madeline, Ariana and Cadence).
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Zdon and Myrtle Zdon; brother, Gary Zdon.
There will be a memorial planned in the future.
He loved to spend time with his granddaughters and children. His smile, kindness, steadfastness, and his love for family defined him. He was a trusted spouse, father, friend and lover of nature. He leaves behind a space that only his smile could fill.
