Lee Ann Eklund

Lee Ann Eklund, age 77, passed away peacefully on October, 8, 2026 at North Memorial Hospital.

Lee Ann was born in Minneapolis on July 26, 1949 to Corinne and Roland Eklund. She lived in the Twin Cities all of her life. Lee Ann graduated from Minneapolis North High School. Her life was spent in service to others. She was an administrative assistant most notably at Baker’s Square, Central Lutheran Church in downtown Minneapolis, the ELCA Minneapolis synod office, Fairview Health Systems, and Augustana Lutheran Church.

Her love of music was a major part of her life. She served as organist, pianist, and choir director at Emmanuel Lutheran Church and later at Augustana Lutheran Church both in Minneapolis. Lee Ann loved to work on puzzles of many kinds. She enjoyed going on drives through Minnesota to visit small towns and go antiquing.

Lee Ann is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Miller (Mauricio Castellano); sister, Dorene Eklund (Jan Skovran), companion, Gregory Miller, and many cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Corinne and Roland Eklund.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice. Lee Ann gave to many charities two notable ones are Minnesota PBS and Community Emergency Service.
