Lester Joseph Zebro

Age 94, of NE Minneapolis & McGregor.

Preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Anne (Swider) & 12 siblings.

Survived by 6 children: Greg (Basia), Cindy, Mark, Nancy (Jim) Urban, Michael (Patti) & Patrick (Susan); 16 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, relatives & friends.

Spent his final days at his favorite place, looking out the cabin window at Lake Minnewawa, and in the presence of family. He was awarded a Silver Star for service during WWII & he retired after 30 yrs with the USPS. Lester was an amazing man - He could wheel more mud at age 75 than any 18-year old & could still handle a snowmobile at 82 in the mountains of West Yellowstone. He will be greatly missed.

Funeral Mass: 11 AM, Thurs, 3/6 at Church of the Immaculate Conception, 4030 Jackson St. NE, Columbia Heights. Visitations: 1 hr prior at church & Wed 3/5, 5- 7:30 PM at Kapala-Glodek Funeral Home, 230 – 13th Ave NE, Mpls. Interment with military honors in Epiphany Cemetery, Coon Rapids.
