With profound sadness and deep love, we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, Lillian Aurora Wells-Gonzalez, who was born into heaven on May 31, 2026, gracing us with her presence for only a brief moment at United Hospital in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
Though her time with us was short, the impact of her presence will forever be cherished by her family and all those who awaited her arrival with open hearts.
Lillian was the precious daughter of Shaunna Rae Potter and Julian Awahsaince Wells-Gonzalez. From the moment her parents knew of her existence, she was endlessly loved and eagerly anticipated. Lillian was a symbol of hope and joy, a beacon of light that brought immeasurable happiness to her family, even before her birth.
Though her earthly journey was brief, Lillian joins a legacy of family that has preceded her, including her sibling, her cherished great-grandparents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, and many beloved relatives who now hold her in a tender embrace beyond this world. Among those who have gone before her are Marvin Stone Jr, Marvin Stone III, Tayah Val-Rose Thomas, Shelly Potter, Annabelle Hicks, Patricia Potter, Windy Downwind, Joseph Potter, Nathan Joseph Wells, Jennifer Ray Wells, Leslie Jodeen Tiger, Leland Tyson Tiger, Marvin Stone, Wastewin and David Gonzalez, and others, including Sharon Brunner, Mary Brunner, Alberta Salo, Rose Marie Wever, Fred Big Bear, William Big Bear, Kenneth Big Bear, Butcher Big Bear, Manny Angel Chavez, Daunte, Wayne Potter, and Dillon Goodsky.
While Lillian's time in this world was heartbreakingly short, she leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever be etched in the hearts of her parents and family. Her spirit will live on in each tender memory, in every whispered thought, and in the quiet moments that connect us all to her eternal light. She is our sweet angel, our Sleeping Beauty, who we will forever hold close in spirit and memory.
A service to honor Lillian's life will be held on June 12, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Sunset Funeral Home and Cemetery, located at 2250 St Anthony Blvd NE, Minneapolis, MN 55418, United States. In this time of sorrow, we find comfort in the knowledge that Lillian is cradled gently in the arms of those who have gone before her, surrounded by love both here and beyond. Though she may not be with us in body, her spirit will shine brightly as our eternal light, guiding us with her love until we are reunited once more.
Lillian Aurora Wells-Gonzalez, forever cherished, forever ours, and forever our angel above.
