Linda Lee Hanson

Preceded in death by parents and siblings Le Roy Lane Jr, Donna Smigiel, Joan Early and Joseph Lane.

Survived by husband Joel Hanson, children Wendy (Rob) Olson, Glenn (Michelle) Iverson, Heather (Harte) Quimby. Grandchildren Nicholas (Dana) Olson, Jessica Olson, Blake and Grant Iverson, Jayce and Caden Quimby.

Linda graduated from Robbinsdale High School in 1966. Later started a career in Tupperware, where she met some wonderful friends. She worked for the United States Postal Service for 25 years and retired early due to illness. No matter how sick she was, she stayed determined to push on. When anyone else would have given up, she stayed strong. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly are. Linda enjoyed playing Bingo and singing (even though she couldn’t carry a tune!) and most of all loved spending time with her family and friends as she was able.

Memorial Service will be held on July 31st, 2023 at 12:30pm with visitation at 10:00am at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel, 2250 St Anthony Boulevard NE, Minneapolis, MN 55418. Burial to follow. A gathering will be held at the families household. Bring a swimsuit if desired.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Linda’s honor to Animal Humane Society.
