

Linda was born May 31st, 1943 in Mason City, IA and was raised in Ventura. At the age of 18, she moved to Coon Rapids, MN where she met Terrance Hugo Prahl. They married on July 7th, 1962 and moved to St. Paul, MN where they started their family of 4 girls; Faith, Lori, Kari, and Lisa. In 1970, they bought a house in Blaine, MN where they resided until Terry's passing in 2017. Linda's health was in decline in 2022 and she moved to Homestead of Anoka where she passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully, in her sleep on January 8th, 2025.
Shortly after moving to Blaine, she got a job at Plastics Inc. in Coon Rapids. She then went to Anoka Technical College and received a degree in Secretarial Sciences. Her next job would be at Control Data where she worked as a secretary for many years before getting laid off. She then went on to becoming a Home Interiors demonstrator until 1990, when they became guardians of two of Terrance's brothers, Roger and Brian. Linda then got a job at Cub Foods as a florist and finally retiring in 2007.
Linda enjoyed going to antique auctions and garage sales and reselling her finds at various antique shops. She went on to start her own business making soaps, lotions, and other natural beauty products and creating many friends along the way.
She enjoyed shopping, crocheting, playing cards (especially Hand and Foot), taking drives up north, and spending time with family. But her favorite hobby was crafting. While at Homestead, she crocheted many items such as sweaters, hats, blankets, and leggings for The Potatohead Project, a charity for premature babies. She also enjoyed surfing the internet for crochet patterns, craft ideas, and recipes. And printing them ALL!
Linda is preceded in death by her husband,Terrance; mother, Dora; father, Mervin; son-in-law, Bill Siler (Faith); sisters, Karen, Wendi, and Mona; brothers-in-law, Gene, Roger, and Brian; sister-In-law, Sharon, mother and father-in-law, Eileen and Hugo and grandson Alex Hanson (Jen).
She is survived by daughters, Faith Siler, Lori Lawson, Kari Packa (Mark), Lisa LaBay (Bill); her 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren, and her two fur-babies, Lily and Penny.
Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Sunset Funeral Home, Minneapolis with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM.
