died peacefully in her sleep, Sunday, June 21, 2015, just weeks short of her 86th birthday.
Nancy, nicknamed Punky when she was young, was born on July 1, 1929 to Oscar and Vivian Gustafson of Anoka. She attended Gustavus Adolphus College, where she met her husband, Jack Gage, graduating in 1951. Nancy majored in theater at Gustavus, and had major parts in several school productions, including Pygmalion, Blyth Spirit, and I Remember Mama. While her children were in high school, Nancy was a Wise Volunteer, assisting children with learning disabilities. Nancy and Jack Gage were married in August of 1951 and have three children: Peter (Donna) Gage, Wendy (Tom) Stotts, and Todd (Kim) Gage.
Nancy is also survived by five grandchildren: Nathalie Gage, Brian (Lisa) Stotts, Kevin (Erin) Stotts, Charles (Angela) Gage, and Stephanie (John) Larson; and six great-grandchildren.
As a lifelong dog lover, donations in Nancy’s memory may be made to the ASPCA.
