My condolences to the Allen Family. Ray was my father's brother. We missed out on spending time together over the years, but I have fond childhood memories of Ray, Virginia, Mark and Scott at my Grandpa's house for family get-togethers. Good times. My thoughts are with you all.

My deepest sympathies to Ray's family. I remember Ray so fondly from my early Deluxe days as the man with the quick smile and a twinkle in his eyes. Condolences,

Dear Scott, Mark and family: I'm so sorry to just now hear about your dad's passing. You know how much I loved your parents and so regret not being at the memorial service or visitation today! They were two of the most kind, loving and beautiful people from the Deluxe "chapter" and your dad's spirit will certainly never be forgotten!

Scott: I am so sorry for your great loss! I know what a wonderful dad he was for you - so incredibly kind and generous and supportive. I hope all is well with you; wish I could be with you today and tomorrow. Know that my prayers are with you and the whole family. Most sincerely, Doreen Boettcher

My wife and I were both Deluxe employees. My wife worked in the old Admin building and saw Ray daily. She was always impressed with Ray's smile, and how he treated everyone so well. He was a great representative of the Deluxe we worked for. A wonderful man has left us.

To me, Ray Allen always represented everything that was good about Deluxe. He always took the time to say hi and get to know you better. And he was the same to everyone he visited in our plant. Just a wonderful person. Our condolences to his family.

I worked with Ray for several years at Deluxe and wrote the article for Contact magazine when he retired. I'll never forget going in to talk to him for that story -- he was third in command on the Deluxe org chart at the time -- and he pulled out a file containing announcements of every newly hired employee from his career at Deluxe. Who else would have kept all that paper? And it was organized--he found mine right away. : )

He was a charming man and I'm sorry for your loss.
