He was born September 10th, 1953 in St. Paul, MN to Robert Williams Sr. and MaryEmma King. Robert developed a love and talent for art at an early age specializing in watercolors, portraits, and caricatures. He did pieces for local newspapers including City Pages. In the early 80’s, he started his career with Minneapolis Public Library where he created beautiful displays and later worked as an Adult Literacy Instructor at the Franklin branch.
Robert is survived by his daughter, Rosa Alexander (Blayr); grandchildren, Blayr Jr and Beckham; sisters, Sheryl Nins (Maurice), Mary Jonette, Wendy; and brother, Steven (Gina); many nieces, nephews, and wonderful family and friends.
Robert was famous for his sense of humor and laughter which will continue to live on in the hearts of those who love him.
A celebration of Robert's life will be held at 12PM, Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Chapel (2250 St. Anthony Blvd NE, Minneapolis, MN) with a viewing from 11AM to 12PM.
