Ron attended the University of Minnesota, earning a degree in accounting—an education that reflected his careful, thoughtful approach to life and work. He built a varied career, working at Medtronic, serving as a manager of two auto dealerships, and later working for Sunset Kapala Glodek Funeral Home and Cemetery as a meaningful way to give back. Those who knew Ron remember not only his reliability and generosity of spirit, but also the quiet warmth and humor he brought into everyday moments.
A faithful presence in his church community, Ron served as an elder for over 36 years, offering steady leadership marked by kindness and sincere care for others. His life was grounded in service, and he gave his time with a sense of purpose and gratitude.
Ron found joy in simple, lasting pleasures: attending car shows with his classic car, watching TV, listening to good music—especially country western and church hymns—fishing, and boating with his speed boat. These interests reflected a man who appreciated both the calm and the celebration of life, and who made room for others to share in what he loved.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Iris (Gieger) and Russell Bennett; his sister, Shirley Ann Bennett Jensen.
Ron is survived by his children, Kimberly (Kent Loop) Bennett and Brian Bennett; grandchildren, Becky (Justin) Bueltel, Ryan (Paige) Sonnack and Brianna Bennett; great grandson, Bennett Paige.
