So sorry to hear about Steve's passing. We were both swim coaching for separate teams in Minnosota's AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) in the early 1980's. He was devoted to the development of his athletes at Foxjet, and for years we'd spend every weekend, and oftentimes long weekends at the same competitions.

When Steve lived in Farmington we became good friends, not lovers but friends.  We confided in each other, we went places, he was given a room in my home and when he needed a helping hand like a ride  or advice regarding legal matters i was there. He was a mentor for my daughter who missed his leaving more than i ever knew.  At Christmas he gave her a stuffed teddy bear which she treasures. I tried contacting him several times to no availe.  I learned he had stayed in South Carolina for a spell and when vacationing last year I looked up the address and the woman there threw us off her property.  Don't know what that was about. I then wrote to all the addresses I could find for him throughout the states and received no reply.  I have often thought of him and wonder how he is doing and for my daughters sake she was interested. I for some reason tried the obituaries and surprisingly enough I found his.  I am sorry for your loss as I know he had a sister and brother whom I couldn't find either and I know his parents were no longer living.  If you would be so kind as to let me know what happened to him.  he was so young, although I know I had taken him to Mayo a couple of times for surgery but never knew what for.  he was tight lipped about some things.  He told me of his family history and a lot of his past.  I would like to learn more and share what I know with you if you would like me to.  Please contact me is you would and if not I will understand.  I miss his friendship and being able to help him when he needed it. I hope I can hear from you.
