Timothy K. McGuire

Timothy Kevin McGuire passed away at home on February 24, 2014 at the age of 62. Born on January 19, 1952 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Luella and Thomas McGuire, he was the tenth of fourteen children and the sixth boy of nine boys.

On August 16, 1975 he and Janet Schadendorf were married and resided all of their married life in Northeast Minneapolis. From this union,

Steven Timothy was born on October 11, 1982.

Tim started his career as a surgical assistant at North Memorial Hospital. He then changed his career direction to medical insurances. He pursued that career for over 30 years, at which point he retired to do what he loved, helping others and making his neighborhood beautiful through gardening and landscaping. In 2011 Tim then hung up his rake to provide daycare for the "Delight of his Life"

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Luella and Thomas;

brothers, Tommy and Billy; and sister, Lynn.

Tim is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Janet; son, Steven (Michelle); granddaughter, Luella "Ella"; six brothers, Jim, Mike, Danny, David, Jeff, and Donny; four sisters, Sharon, Diane, Katie and Barb;

many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation 6-8 PM Thursday, February 27, 2014, Kapala-Glodek Funeral Home, 230-13th Avenue Northeast, Minneapolis. Mass of Christian Burial 2 PM Friday, February 28, 2014, Church of St. Clement, 911-24th Avenue

Northeast, Minneapolis with Rev. Earl Simonson officiating.

Pallbearers are Steve McGuire, Charlie McGuire, Josh McGuire, Jason Snyder, Eric Miklasevics, Jerry Gloe, Brian McGuire, Greg Kulek, and Sean Fileek.

Interment Sunset Cemetery,

2250 St. Anthony Boulevard Northeast, Minneapolis.

Memorials preferred to Masonic Cancer Center for brain cancer research.
