Virginia was born and raised in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, and is preceded in death by her parents, Agnes and Vic; husband, Ken; daughter, Laura; sister, Bunny; sister-in-law Fran; brothers-in-law Dick and John; and niece, Barbara.
Virginia is survived by sons, Howard (Akiko) and Jeffrey (Helen); grandchildren, Ken, Grace, Tom, Sam and Matthew; along with Virginia’s siblings, Marj and Bob (Evelyn); brothers-in-law, Jack (Ellen), Fred (Pat), and Ted; sister-in-law, Joan (Greg); and many nieces and nephews.
Virginia was a loving, adventurous, intelligent woman of Faith who worked in fundraising for many wonderful organizations over the years, including Twin Cities Public Television and Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life. She was also passionate about the arts, where she spent decades as a volunteer docent at the Minneapolis Institute of Art, sharing her wealth of knowledge of museum exhibitions with all who wanted to learn.
