Connie was Marko's Best man and Jenny was a Maid of Honor.

Dear Dell'oca Family it is with the greatest of heartbreak that a year later,  agter so many unanswered phone calls to Connie that I am just now September 2025 finding out about his passing.  
I had hoped that someone would have let me know and his God Daughter, my daughter Amanda. 
We are both devastated to hear this sad news.
Please accept our deepest sympathies to all the Dell'oca family.  So sorry for the loss of your Father; to Joyce; the loss of your Son and Ancilla and Richard,  the loss of you Brother. 
May he rest in peace.

Dear Joyce, Carrie, Sarah, Dylan, Ancilla, Richard, Melanie, and Dena,

Our hearts go out to you all; Cony’s passing has saddened us.

Cony was a formative influence in my life.  We met as youngsters, sharing time together on the farm when my grandmother (Camilla Gobbi nee Dell’Oca) visited her brother (Cony’s grandfather Costante Dell’Oca).

Cony was always on the go.  The only memory I have of him sitting down is for meals at his family’s large and bountiful dining table. 

In those early days, one of Cony’s passions was go-carting.  While his skills were impressive, his knowledge of the properties of the available racing machines was more so.  The car he drove from Canada to California several years later to visit us in Fort Bragg and our cousins in Palo Alto was marvel (as was Cony’s ability and freedom to drive so far from home).

Although younger, Cony was taller and stronger, and more confident, able, and independent than I was.  He made me realise how little I knew and how much I could do if only I had, like him, the mind to do it.

I just learnt from my sister Lisa today that Connie had died. We took a long time rehashing memories of the Dell’Oca family with our parents John and Kathy Mills. Mom and Joyce were good friends.  I, personally, remember Connie as a quiet guy, maybe some laughs there and his children playing around their farm house.  I would like to convey to his amazing Mom Joyce, his children Carrie, Dylan and Sarah, and his siblings Melanie, Dena, Richard and Ancilla heartfelt condolences from the Mills Clan.  Hope the next few weeks are full of memories, reflections, some  tears and lots of laughter.  Regards from our family.

Whenever we got together his smile and laugh were on full display.
Just enjoyed his company.
Recently he allowed me the pleasure of driving our daughter to her prom in the Merc.
At Heritage Park the kids were coming up to him. Asking if they could have his ride in their pictures.
Of course, he was courteous and helpful as he was smiling with his laugh.
He’s a good friend and a great person.

I remember the good times with Cony and the family at the Farm while growing  up.  More recently catching up with him in Scottsdale, Arizona.  I will remember the good times and the laughter.

I used to spend almost every weekend at Connie’s house back in highschool hanging out with Amy, only to be woken up every Saturday to help with chores haha back in 2016 Connie let me tag along on a trip to Kauai, Hawaii and 8 years later I’m still living there and had a baby, none of which would’ve happened if it weren’t for that trip. Thank you Connie for being such a great part of my childhood, my love goes out to the whole dell’oca family & farm ❤️

My favourite memory with uncle cony was when we were younger and every weekend I would have sleepovers with Sarah  and he’d take us to the Deroche store and load up the counter full of candy and we would stay up late eating it all and waking up early the next morning to help feed the animals. The 3 of us would laugh, bug each other and just have a fun time.  Growing up with my cousins and uncle Cony will always hold a special place in my heart.

Ever since I was 10 years old I’ve been attending this Car Show with dad every June. 
Dads 1950 Merc won people’s choice awards one year and that was very special to us! (The votes were definitely not entered by any of dads friends) 
If I ever had lost my dad, which I often did, I would find him in the beer garden, laughing and smiling with Floyd, Pam, Dan,
Sandy, and others. 
I turned into quite the photographer whenever the car shows rolled around. I was either telling dad to “smile!!” And to “stand next to that cool car dad!” Then take a thousand pictures. 
When I was old enough to join the beer garden, I was one of the crew *cool sunglasses slide over eyes*
I could now shoot pool at the Oasis, and kick dad’s butt. The end. That was the whole point of this story… Just kidding! 
We always had the bestest times whenever we came here. Cruising up was one of the best bonding moments my dad and I ever had. We listened to our favourite songs, I’d show him some new songs that I liked, which he did like too much but let them play anyways. We talked, we laughed,  I will always remember these special memories with you dad <3

When dad had the day off to take us out on the boat it was always the best times. I remember something special or funny about each time we went. 
Also, when all the kids were little, the whole family would pile up in the boat and camp on a little beach we found on the side of Harrison Lake. I still remember the funniest stories from those trips.

I love this picture of my dad and sister because he looked so happy to be on a large jet boat with his girls. We were skipping over waves at full speed then thrown into a 360° surprise! Dad only liked that for the first ten times, then we all started to feel a little sick. We got to sit in the front of the boat so we felt like we got the best, full-action experience! Learned a lot of the history and nature of the place, and had a lot of fun doing so.

My Dad and I took a 6 week trip to Hawaii, Australia and New Zealand in the Fall of 2023. This is just one of our many adventures. In this photo we were on the Great Barrier Reef, which was on my dad’s bucket list. On this trip he got to ride his first city bus, drive into a volcano (dormant), and see many filming sites of the original mad max and lord of the rings. My dad loved movies and seeing these places was something he always wanted to do. I’m so thankful for this trip with him. It was so much fun to experience all these places with him. I’m grateful we got to do this trip together.

Out of all the amazing memories I have of my dad, my wedding day was one of my favourites. My dad was so anxious to walk me down the aisle, and was asking me if he looked ok. I told him he was the coolest and grooviest dad I could ask for and that he looked sharp in his vest and sunglasses. In which, I got his famous giggle and smile in return. Then we shared a white claw and he walked me down the aisle. He talked during our entire walk down the aisle, giving me compliments and telling me how proud he was of me. I was in tears by the end. My dad was so special, unique and kind. I will always love and miss him.

Our uncle Cony was truly one of a kind and we will forever cherish the great memories that we had with him. Since working on a farm consumes most of your life, a lot of the memories involve us all working on the farm together. I can picture cleaning out barns with Cony always in the 950 loader or making hay and seeing Cony in the stacker picking up the bales. Not only was he a hard worker but he was a fun guy to be around with his goofy personality and giggle with the biggest grin on his face while he would tease us kids. Cony might have looked like a big intimidating guy but
on the inside he had the biggest heart and cared a lot for those around him. I will always remember Cony standing at a raspberry or blueberry bush in the summer picking berries that he would eat by the handful instead of putting in a bucket. Life will never be the same without him but we will all continue to remember the great times we spent with him. Lots of love, rest easy

Connie,  a real and true gentle giant of a man blessed with an enormous heart of love and compassion. His presence alone would light up a room. My sincere and deepest condolences to you Sarah, Dhillon, Carrie  and the Dell'Oca family.
