He was born in Halifax, NS on March 27, 1965.
Darren is survived by his wife Nancy; daughters Sarah (Isaac) Moorhouse, Katherine Charlton, and Abbie Charlton; mother Betty Charlton; siblings Ann (Eric) Roeske, Kirk (Lesley) Charlton, Sheryl (Russell) Sanderson; Jeff Charlton; Shawn (Lena) Charlton; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his twin sister Dara Charlton at birth; and father Ronald Charlton.
Graveside Service will take place on Friday, May 2, 2025 at 11:00am at Hatzic Cemetery, 34867 Cemetery Avenue, Mission, BC. Memorial Service will be the same day at 2:00pm at Mill Lake Church, 33218 Marshall Road, Abbotsford, BC. Serving as Pallbearers are Matthew Roeske, Caleb Charlton, Jonas Charlton, Derrick Sanderson, Aaron Sanderson, Jonathan Charlton, Isaac Moorhouse, and David Prins.
If family and friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to Mill Lake Church.
Darren served as a missionary with Mercy Ships, worked and volunteered in the Fire Service in many capacities, and served faithfully in a variety of roles at Mill Lake Church. Darren was a real family man, a great friend to many, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. But most of all he lived to please his Lord, and to hear Him say “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
