Magdalini Diamantis

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Magdalina Diamantis on January 20, 2014, with her family at her side. She was born May 22, 1947 in Kos Kefalos, Greece and came to Canada at 26 years of age with her adoring husband George and 6 month old daughter Nikkie. They quickly settled in Chilliwack and began working at the family owned restaurant Minos Pizza. The family grew quickly with the addition of two more daughters, Faye and Denise. Magdalina and George ran the popular Chilliwack restaurant for 37 years. With retirement came dreams of returning to her home country Greece although Magdalina considered Canada her second country.

Magdalina is survived by her husband George, daughters Nikkie (John), Faye & Denise (Monolis) and 8 grandchildren: Magdalina, Pantelis, Manoli, Aphrodite, Magdalina, George, George and Dimitri.

Magdalina will be remembered for her great generosity, amazing cooking and infectious smile.

From Faye: Thanks and love to everyone who was there for my mother, the most loving, wonderful, amazing, respectful, honorable, beautiful woman I know. To my Mama, I never left your side and you are forever half my heart!

Viewing will take place January 23rd at 7:00pm at Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home 45865 Hocking Ave, Chwk. The funeral service will be held January 24th at 11:00am at Saint Nicholas Church 4641 Boundary Rd Vancouver. A Burial will follow at 3:00pm at Vedder View Garden Cemetery 44675 Watson Rd, Sardis.
