With sadness the family of Shirley (LaMarsh) Johnston announce that she passed away peacefully on February 5, 2022 at the Mission Memorial Hospital at the age of 90. Shirley was born on February18, 1931 in Matsqui, B.C. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Pam (George) Veenbaas; son in-law Fred Kruse; brother in-law Jake Harms (Sharon); grandchildren Mike (Jenny) Veenbaas, Lisa (Lance) Bosman, Brenda (Jeff) Hutchinson, Brian Kruse, Graham (Mae) Kruse as well as 10 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband Ray Johnston; daughters Beverly Kruse and Nancy Johnston and her sister Doreen Harms. A Private Graveside Service for Shirley will be held on February 19th, 2022 at 11:00am at Hatzic Cemetery. Shirley loved camping and fishing with Ray and her family. She was also a regular at the seniors centre and loved to play bingo and would attend every Monday and Wednesday. Shirley loved to spend time with her family, grandkids and great-grandkids.
She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
