

Exequiel D. Vengco April 10, 1921 – December 31, 2015 Businessman, Banker, Politician, Farmer, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. He was born in Tarlac, Philippines on April 10, 1921 from a middle class family. He was known for his integrity, hard work, honor and work ethics. He started a business in his prime and was known as the Ice Cream man because he owned the biggest “ice drop” factory in Tarlac after the World War II at a young age. He became a philanthropist and helped a lot of people but lost his business due to a massive fire, he never rebuilt after that. That was the start of his very long journey in life. He ventured to many more endeavors, worked as an Appraiser in a local bank, managed an ice factory, farmed rice lands and even drove jeepney. He also ventured into politics and became very active in the community making him one of the early young leaders of Moncada. In the 1980's, he was taken by one of his children to stay with them in California. He worked as a security officer in Fedco in Van Nuys, California and eventually transitioned to LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Arts) also as a security officer, where he finally retired. He is survived by his wife, Charito Duco Vengco, 11 children, 23 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
