

Jose Pablo Gonzalez was born into a family of 3 sisters and 7 brothers on June 16, 1956 in Jalisco, Mexico. When he was 17, he moved to the US in hopes of a better life. Years after his move he got married and had 3 children: Mirna, who has two children, Melissa Denice and David Nicholas. The twins, Pablo, who is married to Daisy Rojo, and Gabriella. After a divorce, he remarried on July 20th 1991 to his present wife, Maribel. Both were blessed with 3 children: Joseph Matthew, Johannah Mae and Josephine Marie. Jose Pablo spent most of his days as a Machinist and General Manager at Thompson Gundrilling for over 30 years. Being very involved in the sports world all his life, Jose got the opportunity to play Semi-Pro soccer. After an injury that took him out of the game Jose’s desire and love for sports drove him to coach his children in baseball and soccer. In 2010, Jose was diagnosed with Lung Cancer. This set back did not force him to stop fighting, after 4 years he was pronounced cancer free in early 2014. On August 26th 2014 the cancer reappeared in his brain. He has gone through Gama-Knife Radiation, which was thought to shrink the tumor. Continuous doctor’s appointment after another, Jose was turned away due to the severity and aggressiveness of the tumors. He spent many months fighting with the support of his family and friends in the comfort of his home. His second battle against cancer ended on May 23rd 2015 leaving him defeated.
