

..Marcelino Papa Tagle passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2015. He was born on April 6, 1933 in Manila, Philippines. Marcelino grew up in Manila and studied Law. He moved to New York City in 1966 and raised his family on both coasts of the United States. Upon returning to the Philippines in the 1970’s, he successfully ran his own garment and real estate businesses.
“Celing” as his friends affectionately called him, was a generous, compassionate, and fun-loving man. He had a great sense of humor that he maintained until his very last day. He engendered the importance of love for family to his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He showed them the true meaning of Family by his example, and strongly encouraged annual family reunions to strengthen family ties. His unconditional love for family and friends is his legacy that will live on for generations to come.
He is survived by his 6 children, Mary Lynn, Ricardo & Sylvia, Elizabeth & Alexander, Marcelino Jr, & Natalie, Maria Lourdes, and Michael, his 15 grandchildren: Arvid & Mary Anne, Patty & Sonny, Elizabeth & BJ, Michelle & Brian, Andrea, Jennifer & Christopher, Christopher & Christine, Valerie & Dennis, Marc & Sharon, Samantha, Nicolas, June Matthew, Jean, June, and June-June, and his 20 great grandchildren: Marc, Anthony, AJ, Valerie, Mychal, Alexandria, Phoenix, Marisa, Jack, Ben, Olivia, Alyssa, Sophia, Alexander, Drew, Julian, Noah, Jordan, Dylan and Ava.
