Mary L. Romo

Mary was born September 21st, 1923 in El Paso Texas. She passed away on April 16th, 2016 in Sylmar, California. Our mother Mary, was daughter to Joseph and Isabel Lopez. Mary’s family moved to Roll, Arizona when she was in her early teen’s that is where she met this young man by the name of Emilio Romo at a convenience store not far from her home. They fell in love and later were married and they had four children. Her husband Emilio was a Caterpillar operator and land leveler. Every day, Mary would get on her horse and would take her husband Emilio lunch. On her way back home, she would stop at a canal and would go for a swim. She then came to California in the late 40’s where she raised her children. She had one more child, a baby boy she named Danny. She lived to be 92 years old. Mary Romo is survived by her three children, son Danny and daughters Helen and Alicia. Mary has 19 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Cindy and Cruz and brother Ray. .
