May 20, 1966 – December 30, 2015
Mechanic, Handy-man, Guitarist, Father, Son, Best Friend
Rick Hermosillo was the first born to Arcelia and Jose Hermosillo on May 20th, 1966 in Mexico. He arrived in California with his family in 1968. He married Elizabeth Hermosillo, his high school sweetheart in 1992 and welcomed his first child, Louis, in 1992 and in 1995 his second child, Cristal. He received and maintained his welding licenses in 1999, and working in mechanics and welding for 5 years. He then devoted his time toward his career as an automotive mechanic and as a handyman. He also enjoyed playing the guitar and harmonica, often recording his music to show to family and friends. Rick was an extremely funny and charismatic individual who loved to make people laugh and smile. He was always seen with a smile on his face, shades on his head and a tool in his hand. If he wasn’t working on something, he could be found cleaning his car/motorcycle. He was passionate about learning and fixing all kinds of automobiles, aspiring to open up a shop of his own. From electrical to mechanical, he knew or learned how to do/fix anything. A MacGyver in every sense of the word. He is survived by 2 children, Louis and Cristal Hermosillo, his mother and father, Arcelia and Jose Hermosillo, and 3 brothers, Sergio, Mondo, and Eddie Hermosillo.
He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
