Rosa I. Pacheco

Rosa Imelda Pacheco Arboleda, 100 years old, of Los Angeles, California, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2016 at home. Visitation and Rosary Service will be held at 09:00 AM - 12:30 PM, Funeral Service at 12:45 PM - 01:45 PM, Friday, November 18, 2016 at Mission Hills Catholic Mortuary/Chapel. Graveside Service will be held 01:45 PM - 02:45 PM, Friday, November 18, 2016 at Mission Hills Cemetery. Rosa was daughter of Ignacio Arboleda and Beatriz Zavala, she was born in Quito Ecuador, on March 13, 1916. She married Jose R. Pacheco on July 8, 1938 in Quito, Ecuador, and they had six children. She widowed on April 11, 1954 having to raise the six children on her own. She worked as a designer of women's clothing for a couple of companies in Quito, and also worked extra hours designing women's and children's clothing inclusive of the seamstress work from home. She moved with her last two children to Los Angeles in 1966, to join her older children already residing in Los Angeles,and a few years later she became a US Citizen. Rosa is preceded in death by: husband Jose R., first daughter Maria del Carmen, her mother Beatriz, her father Ignacio, her brothers: Gerardo and Enrique, sister in-law Maria del Carmen, nephew Nelsito. Rosa is survived by her Children and Children in-law: Magdalena and Arturo Yanez, Galo and Irene Pacheco, Jose and Catherine Pacheco, Francisco and Roseley Pacheco, and Guillermo and Matty Pacheco; Brothers: Juan and Eduardo (Quito); Grandchildren: Patricio, Frances, Jose, Miguel, Adriane, Galo Jr., Veronica, Giovanni, Alicia, Jonathan, Alex, Nell, Janette, Christina, Francisco Jr., Maria, Guillermo Jr., Sandra and Christopher; 35 great-Grandchildren; nephews: Gerardo, Raquel, Marcelo, Edison, Gioconda, Wilson, Alexis and Mariela.
