

Socorro was born May 9, 1926 in the state of Durango, México to Ignacio and Maria Vizarrga, the eldest of nine children. She came to the United States in 1958 with her daughter Martha and resided in Van Nuys, California. Her passions included cooking, sewing and babysitting. She enjoyed family outings; one of her favorite places was Disneyland where she loved to go on “It’s a Small World”. Her greatest passion was helping her daughter raise her three grandsons.
Socorro entered eternal life peaceful on February 9, 2015 at 4:43 am in Sherman Oaks, California.
She is survived by her daughter Martha; grandsons Anthony, Daniel and Adam, and their spouses Monica, Rosio and Susan, seven great-grandchildren; Dylan, Derek, Jayden, Shawn, Joseph, Jesse, and Jocelyn; and siblings; Ofelia, Juan and Roberto. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend to many. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday February 17, 2015 9-10:45 with a rosary at 10:15. Celebration of Life Catholic Mass will be held at 11am. These Services will take place at Mission Hills Catholic Mortuary. The interment will follow at the San Fernando Mission Cemetery, Mission Hills.
