McAllen, Texas - Deacon Alvin Henry Gerbermann, 82, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2018. He was born on October 23, 1935 to Alvin Joseph and Anastasia Syring Gerbermann in Nada, Texas. He earned a bachelor and masters degree from Texas A&I university in soil sciences. Ordained a Deacon on May 16, 1980, providing 32 years of service to the Catholic Church and a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, Palm City Council #8298 located at Holy Spirit Church. He is survived by his wife, Graciela Gerbermann of 19 wonderful years. His children, Michelle Parker, Darrel Parker, Allen M. Gerbermann (Jackie) and Alvin L. Gerbermann. His grandchildren whom he loved dearly: Arielle Parker, Kyra Parker and A.J. Gerbermann. Preceded in death by his parents, Alvin Joseph Gerbermann and Anastasia Syring Gerbermann; brother, John F Gerbermann; sister in law Anna Mae Mazac Gerbermann and his first wife, Nina Gerbermann.
