He was preceded in death by his parents Amancio and Francisca Cantu; and by his brothers Juan De Dios Cantu and Edelmiro Cantu.
He is survived by his loving wife Blanca Cantu; his siblings Ricardo Cantu, Rene Cantu, Israel Cantu and Irma Cantu. He is also survived by his godchildren Tomas Villegas IV, Jena Rekay Flores, Crystal Flores, Joanna Jeanette Celis, Mary Lou Villegas, Juliette Yvette De Leon, Felicia Marie Galaviz and Cesar Ivan Mendiola.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 3, 2026 at Funeraria Del Angel in Mission from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at Funeraria Del Angel at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
