He was preceded in death by his parents Bartolo and Ignacia Gamez; his wife Dominga T. Gamez and by his son Arturo Gamez.
Ascencion is survived his his daughters Irma(Robert) Hilbery and Minerva Mueller; his grandchildren Kyle(Yva) Hilbery, Kelly Hilbery, Raymond(Yaneth) Mueller and Brian Mueller; his great-grandchildren Grayson Hilbery and Brandon Hilbery; and by his siblings Inez Gamez and Guadalupe Gamez de Lopez.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Funeraria Del Angel in Mission at 9:00 am. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm with burial following at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission.
