Born on July 23, 1933 in Mission, Texas she was the daughter Ignacio and Veneranda "Vene" Ortiz.
She was a loving mom of eight children, twenty-three grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren, and three great-great- grandchildren. Married to Guadalupe Aroldo Garcia Sr. for 69 years before his passing in 2022.
She is survived by eight children, Norma (Felipe+) Garcia Jr., Olga (Joe) Wilson, Rolando Garcia, Homero Garcia, Elizabeth (Mario) Hinojosa, Irma (David+) Garcia, Arturo (Estella) Garcia, Guadalupe Jr. (Norma) Garcia; many more family and friends.
She is welcomed in heaven by her husband, Guadalupe Aroldo Garcia Sr. and family.
The family would like to thank the staff at Legacy Hospice for the care and attention they provided.
A viewing will be held at Funeraria Del Angel in Mission on Friday, May 22, 2026 from 5pm to 9pm with a rosary at 7pm. Funeral mass will be at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Mission on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 9am followed by burial at Valley Memorial Gardens.
