

Bobo, as she was called by her family, was born on November 4, 1940, to Carl and Greta Hoglund in Sweden. She joined her missionary parents to do God’s work in Reynosa, Mexico, where they founded Templo Smirna. She graduated high school and attended college to become an ordained minister. She devoted her entire life to the ministry and missionary work.
Bobo worked for over 40 years as a medical billing specialist and since 2010 as a senior medical biller for Dr. Wally Prado at Accurate Vascular Diagnostic Center in McAllen. We would like to thank her work family for the care you showed her.
We would also like to thank Dr. Montes and the staff at DHR for providing her the medical attention and ensuring she was comfortable as she took her last breath.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Greta Hoglund; her brother, Karl Hoglund; her sister-in-law, Guadalupe Hoglund; her sister, Margaret Hoglund; and her nephews, Carlos Lopez and Raul Lopez.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Arcelia (Rudy) Garza, Jose Lopez, Blanca (George) Molina, Felipe Hoglund, Alfredo Hoglund, Greta (Joe) Zamora, Carl (Celena) Hoglund, and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends.
She will be remembered as a great aunt, friend, and servant of the Lord.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m., with a 6:00 p.m. prayer service, on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at Funeraria Del Angel in Mission, Texas. A funeral service will take place at Funeraria Del Angel-Mission with a prayer service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
