He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Maria Del Rosario Cortez; his children Francisco Cortez, Javier Cortez, Arnulfo Cortez, Teresita Cortez, David Cortez, Israel Cortez, Robert Cortez, Maria Marisela Cortez, Jerry Cortez and Cynthia Barrera; 41 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; and by his siblings Trinidad, Epifania, Baudelia, Concepcion, Primitivo, Bonifacio, Panfila, Leticia and Rosa.
Visitation will take place on Friday, March 15, 2024 at Funeraria Del Angel in Mission from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission.
