Our entire Rodriguez Family offers our most sincere condolences to the family of Carlos Xavier Arredondo.

Since we have always lived in San Antonio we did not keep up with the Arredondo family but have wonderful memories of our Uncle Santos and Aunt Celia when their children were small.

In reading Carlos Xavier's obituary we see the beautiful legacy in education and contributions to youth that he left behind.  May the memories of his life always be a blessing to his family and all his friends. 
Cousins from San Antonio.

It has been way to long since last seeing my cousin Carlos but I do have memories of our family visiting. One particular time was during his sister wedding, Ruby. I was lucky to have spent a week with my cousins . 

MR. A. was my percussion instructor form 7th grade till my senior year. Through those school years, he grew to be not just my most influential teacher but a great friend even after high school ended. I have many fond memories but one that stands out was when he and James came up to San Antonio when I was living there back in 2001 and he invited me to go along with them to DCI. That is something I'll never forget cause he didn't have to ask me. That was just his way.  My deepest condolences to the Arredondo family. Keep on grooving Mr.A.

What a tremendous teacher, leader, and mentor he was to both of my kids. I have very fond memories of him and of that time in my kids drumline lives at Nikki Rowe.

Carlos was a huge inspiration to me while I was growing up in McAllen.  I watched him play drums in the Pan American University Jazz Band as well as listened and watched him play with Texas Pride.  Carlos gave me incredible insight on life and how to keep focus on a chosen path. He will always be in my heart and will be dearly missed.  Last time I saw Carlos was at TMEA when he was helping his son set up his percussion equipment for the Texas All State auditions.  Rick Rodriguez 

Mr. A was a beloved educator. He was my percussion instructor throughout high school. I will forever cherish the memories of our early Saturday morning practices with all of my fellow drumline brothers, sisters,  and Mr. A. 

My deepest condolences to James, Chelsea, and all of the Arredondo family. Life may be short but memories are forever.  Rest in power. 

I met Carlos at UTPA in the music dept. in the early 80's. Then we reconnected when he began teaching percussion at Rowe and we remained good friends! He was a good teacher and he will be missed! Say hi to Ed and Joyce for me❤

Carlos was a Great friend, Teacher and Performer.  He will be missed a lot.  I lost contact when I left The Valley in 1991, but I still have the antique snare drum he gave me hanging in my music studio.  Carlos is already drumming with the Greatest Bands in the sky and laying down some awesome Drumset Grooves.

Carlos was a strong student at Pan Am Music Dept....a skilled percussionist and musician whose friendship I have treasured for many years.  I hope he plays in the Big Band in the Sky with too many others.....RIP  Carlos, miss you...

I am very saddaned to here of the passing of my cousin Xavier.  My  thoughts and prayers go out to all his family.  I remember the fun times we had as kids, when my uncle Santos, aunt Celia, Xavier and Madelicia would come visit my family out at the farm.  Xavier would always make me laugh with the stories he told me and with the way he and Madelicia would would cut up.  As a drummer, Xavier was a professional.  Music runs in our family, and he excelled with his gift.  I will miss him dearly.
