Carolyn dedicated her life to caring for others. She began her professional career as a Registered Nurse, serving patients with compassion and excellence for 15 years. Her passion for learning and helping others inspired her to pursue a new path in dentistry, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. She devoted more than 29 years to the dental profession, eventually serving as the Dental Director at Nuestra Clínica del Valle, where her leadership, knowledge, and commitment to quality care positively impacted countless patients and colleagues.
Outside of her career, Carolyn embraced life with curiosity and enthusiasm. She was an avid reader whose library reflected her diverse interests—from fantasy series like *Game of Thrones* and *Divergent* to books on world history and the story of humankind. She believed there was always something new to learn through the pages of a good book.
Carolyn also found joy in collecting treasures of every kind. Her home was filled with cherished trinkets, art, vintage collectables, magazines, and countless keepsakes that reflected her fun-loving personality and unique interests.
Anyone who knew Carolyn knew she had a sweet tooth. She could never resist a slice of Luby's famous chocolate cake or a classic Hershey's chocolate bar. She was also a familiar face at many of her favorite restaurants, where her weekly visits and delightfully specific orders became something the staff looked forward to. The servers at Costa Messa, Red Lobster, LongHorn Steakhouse, Olive Garden, and Pizza Hut will surely miss their loyal customer and friend.
Carolyn loved to travel, especially her frequent trips to Houston and spending time at her favorite salon. Nearly every two weeks, she would make the journey, enjoying both the destination and the adventure along the way.
Carolyn will be remembered for her intelligence, determination, generosity, and unwavering dedication to her profession. She had a sharp mind and a caring heart.
She is survived by her brother, Larry Huff; extended family, Zulema Guzman, Marisol Alaniz, and Mauricio Ciccarello; many more family and friends.
A very special thank you to the doctors and staff at MD Anderson for their kindness and attention.
She is reunited in heaven by her parents, Albert Huff and Dorothy Brundige.
