

Born on March 16, 1930, to Felix Olivarez and Gregoria Garza, Clodin was a proud graduate of McAllen High School and went on to pursue a distinguished career in banking. Through her hard work and dedication, she rose to become Vice President at Border Bank in Hidalgo, where she faithfully served the community for over 40 years.
Clodin was married for 45 years to the love of her life, the late Arnoldo Ruiz Sr. Together they built a strong, loving family grounded in faith and values. She was the devoted mother of the late Alma Linda Ruiz, and she leaves behind children; Arnoldo Ruiz Jr. (Trudy), and Ruben R. Ruiz (Lillie). Her legacy lives on through her five grandchildren and five great-grandchild, all of whom she adored and cherished deeply.
A woman of strength, grace, and resilience, Clodin lived life to the fullest. She was known for her green thumb, love for cats, and her competitive spirit at the slot machines. Always energetic and health-conscious, she remained fit and active well into her later years. She found great joy in family gatherings and treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren.
Clodin was a faithful Catholic whose unwavering spirituality guided her life. She was a loving wife, a nurturing mother, a doting grandmother, and a loyal friend to many.
She will be remembered for her warmth, her kindness, and her unshakable devotion to those she loved.
