He was proceded in death by his parents Emilio Cadena and Trinidad Salazar Hernandez; his sister Dora Castaño and brother Enrique Cadena.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years: Emilia O. Cadena; daughters: Cynthia Cadena of Fort Worth, Nancy (Francesco) Guistiniano of Mission; son: Jorge Daniel Cadena of San Antonio. He will also be greatly missed by his brother: Oscar Cadena of San Antonio; sister: Carmen Cadena Salazar of Austin and many nephews, nieces, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law who loved him.
Daniel was a hard worker and always provided for his family. He worked as a welder in Idaho and San Angelo. He also worked at the Signal Department of the City of San Angelo for 20 year before retiring.
Daniel was a loving, devoted husband and father. He exemplified what it was like to be a true Christian. He served as deacon in his home churches. He enjoyed spending time with his family helping his children in any way possible, traveling and reading the Word of God. Daniel was a friend, a brother, and a father figure to many. His smile was infectious and he always had a twinkle in his eye. A man of few words but mischievous. In lieu of flowers, we are sure he'd appreciate donations to the " Fire Bible" Missions Program. Donations can be made through First Assembly at mcfirstag.com or mailed to
First Assembly 2401 North McColl, McAllen, TX 78501. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Funeraria del Angel of Mission.
