

David M. Loflin was born in Abilene, Texas on November 20,1944. He passed away on January 17,2024. He was the loving father of one daughter and two sons; Danna Lea Loflin Walters, Wilburn David Loflin and Timothy Jay Loflin.
He spent a loving relationship in marriage to Mary Faye Williams of 59 1/2 years. They met in Merkel High School in October 1962 and were married on June 20, 1964. Mr. Loflin worked in a plant making potash for the first six years of their married life. They moved back to Texas in May of 1969. A greater part of their marriage was spent living in Synder, Texas where Mr. Loflin was employed at a magnesium plant and Sun Oil Co. He was transferred to Sun Oil in Richardson, Texas where he traveled to many Sun Oil properties to handle the maintenance of the production lines. He then transferred to McAllen, Texas when he became the head of operations at the Delmita Plant. He left the plant in Delmita to work for Watermill Express in 1992 and finished his career in 2005 working as an operations manager of the Southern Region of Texas.
Mary and David traveled with a group of RVers through out the United States and Texas. We enjoyed spending time with the wonderful people and seeing the beautiful places.
David lost his father in August 1968 and mother. He lost his brother, Joe, in December 2021, and his sisters Lola and Linda. He survives his sister, Laurell. He is survived by his wife of 59 1/2 years, Mary and his three children : Danna Walters, Wilburn D. Loflin, and Timothy J. Loflin ; Grandchildren : Angela Walters, Andrea Loflin, Mary A. Loflin, and R.J. Loflin and several nieces and nephews.

A prayer service for David will be held Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Funeraria Del Angel, 3611 North Taylor Road, Mission, Texas 78573. A celebration of life will occur Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 12:15 PM to 3:00 PM, 3611 North Taylor Road, Mission, Texas 78573.
