Eleazar Chavez was born in Brownsville TX on March 26, 1929 to parents Abundio Chavez and Porfiria Trejo.
Eleazar is survived by his wife of almost 60 years Maria de Jesus Meza de Chavez. He also leaves behind children, Juan Ramon Chavez, Melchor Chavez (Claudia), Maria Pena (Tony), Rosa De La Cruz (Jaime); grandchildren, Paige Chavez, Leanne Lupercio, Eleazar Chavez, Matthew Chavez, Korina Chavez, Korissa Chavez, Brian Pena, Alexander Pena, Victoria Pena, Andrew Chavez, Marcos De La Cruz, Daniel De La Cruz, and Isidro De La Cruz; great grandchildren, Lilianna Jimenez, Jeslyn Jimenez, Leia Jimenez, Sofia Cervantes, Esteban Cervantez, Mia Cervantez, Oliver Chavez and Serena Chavez.
Eleazar enjoyed watching baseball and tending to his garden. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. Eleazar was a humble man and a wonderful caretaker. He really set the bar high for his children who are now instilling those same values in their own children.
Eleazar will be greatly missed by numerous friends and family.
