Preceded in death by his parents, George S. Nix and Olla Bell Eggers, Brother Clint S. Nix. He is survived by his wife Parthenia Faye Nix. Son; David Wayne Nix, Daughter, Janice Linn Cantu. Granddaughter, Savanah Jayne Cantu. Grandson, Preston Ellis Cantu. Sister, Laverne Little and husband Bobby Little. Sister-in-law, Nellie Nix.
He was involved in the Sand and Gravel trucking business for almost 40 years. He was Vice President/Supervisor of Havana Materials and President of Star Transport.
Visitation will be held Tuesday June 28, 2011 at Funeraria Del Angel 3611 N. Taylor Rd in Mission, Texas from 1:00pm- 9:00pm. Funeral Service will be held at Veteran State Cemetery on Wednesday June 29, 2011 at 11:00a.m.
